Julian is an engaging performer who tailors his concerts to every occasion and organ. Whether it is a short lunchtime concert of light classics and popular pieces or a livestreamed evening concert of largescale works and masterpieces for organ Julian always performs a balanced and varied programme to suit the event.

As a concert artist, Julian performs regularly in Europe and has toured in Asia. In October 2021 he undertook his first international concert engagements since the start of the Covid 19 pandemic with a very well-received tour to Italy, including performing in the Pantheon in Rome. In 2019 he undertook a highly successful series of concerts in Brittany. He has appeared in the International Gloger Festival in Norway, the Veurne International Organ Festival in Belgium, in Holland. Julian has performed throughout the UK, from Banchory in Aberdeenshire to Truro Cathedral in the South West tip of the UK, London and at the prestigious Three Choirs Festival in the Heart of England.

Accompaniment currently forms a smaller part of Julian’s portfolio. He enjoys working as an accompanist and is always commended for his sensitive and supportive accompanying of choirs and soloists. He has a wealth of experience in cathedral and church service playing, weddings and large ceremonies, as well as concerts.

Testimonial

"We all greatly enjoyed your varied yet coherent programme which allowed you to show off both the organ and your interpretative and technical command. It's not every organist who has a piece dedicated to him from an important contemporary organist!"
