Julian is passionate about music education, always ready to inspire through sharing knowledge and ideas with students. Students gain outstanding results, regularly achieving distinctions in examination and winning competitions.
Julian is a sought-after educator with a flourishing reputation through 10 years of experience in organ tuition to all ages and ranging from early grades to undergraduate.
He is director of the Norwich Diocesan Organ Scholarship Scheme, an organ scholar tutor at the University of Cambridge, and heads up the St Peter Mancroft Organ Scholarship Programme. Additionally, he is Regional Consultant and Accredited Teacher for the Royal College of Organists in the East of England, regularly tutoring on RCO study days in Norfolk and London. Previous roles teaching in London have won plaudits for his work including as an Associate Lecturer and teaching in school. Students have won scholarships and competitions and gained places at conservatoire and Oxbridge.
